PROBLEM

The consequences of statelessness are devastating. Stateless people have no legal protection and are generally denied of basic rights - such as education, healthcare, employment, housing, marriage, freedom of movement, political participation during their lifetime and even the dignity of an official burial and a death certificate when they die. Stateless people are also particularly vulnerable to discrimination, exploitation and abuse - including arbitrary detention, forced labor, trafficking and violence

SOLUTION

SIMPLE WAYS TO PRACTICE ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP:

-Strengthen Digital Media Literacy Skills.
-Engage in Difficult Conversations.

Educational programs need to be developed to improve competencies like co-operation and communication as well working to increase critical ability, reduce prejudice and build tolerance, understanding, empathy, and an openness to diversity. During the research, tailored programs were developed to address these competencies and were positively received by participants. More widespread endorsement and implementation is now required.

Promote the overall personal development of young people as active citizens in diverse and democratic societies. Get more young people to take part in social projects, and especially in decision-making processes. Connect young people from different backgrounds and countries to listen to and appreciate each others' ideas and experience, endorsing intercultural understanding, democracy, respect, diversity, human rights, active citizenship and solidarity.

• We can establish a sound and clean government if we choose and elect honest and capable officials of the
  government to lead our country.
• We Filipinos aspire for a democratic government that will pursue our dreams and aspirations. We do not want to be deceived and abused.
