REMOVE TORY LANEZ MUSIC DUE TO THE SHOOTING OF MEG THEE STALLION!

REMOVE TORY LANEZ MUSIC DUE TO THE SHOOTING OF MEG THEE STALLION!
The Issue
Meg Thee Stallion has confirmed that Tory Lanez shot her on July 12, 2020, in addition to receiving a felony count of carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle. Tory has not only not taken any responsibility, but he has pushed false narratives into the public and has not given any statement for his actions. As music fans, we refuse to sit by and witness violence in our community without accountability. The petition calls on music distributors to remove his music until all of these steps are taken:
- Tory makes a public statement and apology
- Participation in anti-violence training
- Gives money to domestic violence groups
- Participates in restorative justice with the victims
According The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, 1 in 4 women experience severe intimate partner physical violence, intimate partner contact sexual violence, and/or intimate partner stalking with impacts such as injury, fearfulness, post-traumatic stress disorder, use of victim services, contraction of sexually transmitted diseases.
Lanez has shown that he is reckless, careless and is not willing to take accountability for his actions, so music fans across the country are taking steps that the industry has not done. We refuse to allow music to be a breeding ground for violence and injustice.
