Remove Tory Lanez album from all streaming services

The Issue

Tory Lanez has just dropped his latest album "Daystar". According to publications, in this album he is addressing the allegations that he shot rapper Megan Thee Stallion this past summer. This couldn't have been a worst time to drop an album gaslighting a black woman's experiences due to the unfortunate verdict of Breonna Taylors case. He maintains his innocence in this highly defensive surprise album and says things like:

"How the f*** you get shot in your foot, don’t hit no bones or tendons?" (The medical report said they removed a bullet from her foot)

"Me and Kylie still off in the pool / We was chilling, kicking s**t was cool / Both of us didn’t know you was tripping / Even though I got a crush on Kylie, I woulda left with you if I knew you was dipping, for the simple reason / You invited me, but I can’t act like shawty didn’t excite me." (This is a common way to gaslight a black woman by painting a picture that she was just jealous, bitter and angry because he was giving a white woman attention so the pain she endured was justified)

Due to the insensitive lyrics and public unrest I would like to see Tory Lanez newest album taken down from all streaming services because he is directly profiting off of black women's pain and the current political climate.

I would hope that this type of disregard for black women's safety, emotional health and mental health is not reflective of the values that these streaming services uphold (Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, etc). Hopefully this will set a standard for black men who have these type of platforms to use them for good instead of tearing a black woman down. Please join me in boycotting Mr. Lanez music and email all streaming services.

It's one thing to quote Malcom X's speech about black women being unprotected. But when you actually do the work to protect and support black women in real life, that is true activism.
