SPOTIFY: Implement 2-Factor Authentication!

Message to Spotify:
We, the undersigned, would like to see the implementation of 2-factor authentication (2FA) for Spotify users as a top priority for the company. Protecting the accounts of your customers is paramount in any online business, especially when the account provides access to a premium service.
In 2017, 2FA has become common practice and plays an integral part of account security. With almost all major online companies adopting some form of 2FA, it has become something that users expect to see, especially when protecting a paid service such as Spotify. However, despite support from hundreds of users (442 as of 05/06/17) on the Spotify community forum, when contacted via the @SpotifyCares Twitter account, you have replied with generic responses dismissing the idea of implementing such a feature.
One user on the forum, msephton, said:
"A friend of mine just started working at Spotify in Stockholm and he says that this is considered very low priority because 'not enough users want it'."
Failure to implement this feature suggests to me that Spotify does not care about the security of their customers' accounts. As such a large internet figure, Spotify should be leading the way with security innovation, not falling behind and failing to implement basic authentication. Implementing 2FA is a simple task, and with companies such as Google providing free-to-use 2FA services, there is no excuse for failing to provide such protection, regardless of how many or few users are actively supporting the idea.
We look forward to your response on the issue.
