All of these traits they would hypothetically extract from users home is an extreme violation of personal privacy and no company should be able to extend to listening in to find your mood and therefore recommend you sad/happy songs. Additionally, using the internet and products such as Spotify, you are able to choose a certain level anonymity. You are often able to withhold information from companies such as gender, age, and emotional state, even your employer cannot as these of you. However this patent would allow Spotify to skip all the preventive choices you have made to keep your identity and personal information safe, and would have an easy shortcut to access information that most if not all users should be uncomfortable with. Spotify in no way needs this feature, it already has an excellent algorithm, and breaching user privacy so much as to hear the background sound in users environments is outrageous and wrong. Please do your research, and share with friends so we can show spotify how disgusted it's users would be if said patent was implimented.
