Whether you watch hockey or not, every Canadian knows Don Cherry, The man with the Funky suits. This past weekend, Remembrance day weekend, The Canadian Icon and man we've grown up with, was unfairly fired from his job. He spoke on the respect Canadian Newcomers should have for the Individuals who fought and died for them to come here. He spoke about how he felt, and was silenced, unfairly, by the media. Canada, is known worldwide for our freedom of speech. However this right, as recognized in section 2 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, was infringed. In a Canadian society, we will acknowledge  the men and women who fought and gave the ultimate sacrifice so we can live our lives today. It is almost freighting that one of Canadas most well known individual's, can be fired for sticking up for our service peoples. To make matters worse, Sportsnet Fired Don on Remembrance day, which is insulting to him, Veterans, And Canadians as a whole.  

With your signature, we can stand up for what's right, and stand by the man we all know and love. You are not just signing for him, you are signing for your rights as a Canadian, and for what's right. Don't let the media control us. If we reach a large number of signatures, we can try to get Don Cherry his Job back. If not, we will continue to boycott Sportsnet, to drop the views. We will Stand with Don!
