Jenny Slagel, a Spokane Public School board member swore an oath affirming to support the Constitution of the United States before she took office in January 2020.

On a Facebook post dated Nov. 3, 2020 Jenny shared a post which declared the Electoral College as racist and then said "I'll keep saying it. And while we're at it, abolish the constitution."

Policy No. 1100 Board of Directors Spokane Public Schools states:

"The Director's Oath of Office. I,(NAME) do hereby solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the state of Washington and will faithfully discharge the duties of Director of School District No. ___, County, state of Washington, the the best of my ability."
