At Freedom FM, we live and breathe the 90s and 2000s 💜 and right now, nostalgia has never felt so good 💯 Oasis came back last year. Pitbull is filling Hyde Park with thousands of bald caps and suits. Take That are still making us cry, dance and question which one was always our favourite on their Circus Tour!!!
The 90s and noughties are officially having their moment again ↩️
But there’s one massive piece missing...
⚠️ THE SPICE GIRLS ⚠️
Thirty years ago, Baby, Sporty, Scary, Ginger and Posh exploded onto the scene and gave us Girl Power, platform trainers, Union Jack dresses, friendship bracelets, bedroom walls covered in posters and some of the biggest pop anthems of a generation.
For so many of us, the Spice Girls weren't just a band. They were our childhood. Our teenage years. Our first CDs, cassette singles, dance routines, school discos and arguments over which Spice Girl we were. And yes, some of us are still having that argument today!! 🙆♀️
Now we want to relive it all again 💯
We want the opening notes of Spice Up Your Life blasting through a Aviva stadium!!
We want thousands of people screaming STOP RIGHT NOW, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
We want the platform boots. The leopard print. The peace signs. The Girl Power 💕💅💃🏼💪🎶💿
We want one more chance to zig-a-zig-ah together 💜
So, Victoria, Mel B, Mel C, Emma and Geri... this is our message to you:
Your Irish fans are ready, and everyone else across the globe!! The platforms are out of the attic. The Union Jack dresses may be a little tighter than they were in 1996... but we'll make it work.
