We are asking all residents to please sign our petition to introduce speed calming measures within the White Rise area. These calming measures will include speed signs, stop signs, speed bumps and road markings such as give-way markings. Without these measures we are getting feedback from residents that their kids are in constant and imminent danger of being hit by a vehicle. We have been in the area going door to door to raise awareness and get signatures to bring to the Department of Infrastructure to show that this is a serious ongoing issue that the residents need addressed as a matter of urgency. 

 

Whilst talking to the residents that live in the area and face these issues personally with their kids playing in the streets, they bring it to our attention that this is a daily occurrence of cars turning blind corners rapidly and racing through the streets close to a public park. The numerous reports of kids knocked down and near misses is absolutely frightening and it only a matter of time before it is fatal.

We call on the residents of White Rise and surrounding areas to please sign the petition to give the residents a fighting chance with Department for Infrastructure to introduce these measures.

Republican Network for Unity understand this has been an on-going issue within the surrounding areas and we understand it is frustrating that nothing has been implemented as of yet, but without your signature we fight a losing battle. Every signature counts.
