I am creating a petition to put speed bumps on Westpoint Boulevard. I have lived close by for over 30 years. Due to the increased amount of houses and apartments being built in this area without adding extra streets, Westpoint has become a major thoroughfare. The problem is speed. The speed limit used to be 40 mph and now there is no speed limit observed at all. I would guess the imaginary speed limit for those who drive fast is between 50-70 mph. My thought every day is anyone who might choose to cross this street would likely have no chance to make it to the other side alive. I’m saying this about adults. Children and/or animals have no chance. Before a tragedy occurs and it’s too late to undo, I’m asking for your support. Thank you.
