Hello, my name is Olivia Ogletree and I am a resident of Pell City. I am creating this petition for the installation of speed bumps on Cherokee Rd. I am concerned about the excessive speed of vehicles traveling on this street, which poses a significant safety risk to pedestrians, residents, and animals on this road. I am here to tell my story about my cat, Gus...my precious baby that lost his life due to people speeding on Cherokee rd. Someone hit him and broke his back, paralyzing his lower end making him unable to walk, move his tail, and even use the bathroom. Our only option was getting him euthanized. Which was by far the worst day of my entire life. Losing my baby at just one years old because someone hit him with a car. It’s so sad because we see dead cats and dogs on our road all the time. It’s horrible to see and it’s horrible when it’s your animal that gets hit. My grandad also tried getting speed bumps on this road but he is not here anymore, I would love to get this done for him also. Please help us all out and sign this petition for me and all my residents..and for my precious gus who deserves to be here. Thank you.
