Graham Longley and the Lib-Dems oppose night flights but Longley supported the expansion of aviation at Southend. He is vigorously pro-expansion at Southend Airport and did more than any other councillor in the borough to fragment opposition to expansion.

Graham Longley has failed the majority of people in Blenhiem Park - the majority that opposed expansion at Southend Airport (61%). Graham Longley refused to adhere to Lib-Dem policy against any fuirther expansion of aviation in the South East of England and has shown that he cannot be trusted to represent voters who care about environmental issues. Thanks to Graham Longley's support for expansion we are now condemned to live with the utter misery of night flights.

The Green Party is the only party which has an unwavering opposition to further expansion at Southend Airport. Easyjet has already spoken of increasing flights further - from 2 million passengers per annum to 6 million. That would cause chaos on local roads as well as make the lives of local residents an absolute misery.

Only a Green candidtate can be trusted to fight yet more expansion and night flights at Southend Airport.
