Save The Coal Works

Save The Coal Works
Why this petition matters
The Coal Works Dirt Bike Trails is an unofficial name but it is a real place where dirt bikers have been biking for over 30 years! There are many amazing trails there, but the most popular place where bikers ride is in a huge 30 foot valley with many hill climbs going up, down, and through it and was onced used for a railroad. The property it’s on is one of the few places in Caln Township Pa that is undeveloped but the land was just sold and is now owned by Southdown Properties Inc. Although I haven’t fully heard from the new owner themselves, it is rumored that they will begin developing the property sometime soon and will later be turned into a housing development.
The reason why I care so much about the property is because it’s super nostalgic and holds a special place in my heart! When I was first taken down there with a few of my friends, I was fascinated by all the things that were down there like, dirt bike trails, ramps, jumps, hill climbs, berms, crashed cars, abandoned railroads, an abandoned mill, mysterious tunnels or sewer tunnels, and so much more! It amazed me so much that it inspired me to make my own trails and to keep all the other trails in good condition. But I’m not the only one who cares deeply about this place. There have been people who have taken tractors down there and created some insane berms and ramps. If this petition doesn’t work, then I do want to make a video of the place and have a bunch of dirt bikers have one huge last race before it gets demolished! This place isn’t like any other! Please sign the petition!
