Our wonderful village of Middleton Cheney is being taken over by greedy developers, we are beyond capacity and are bursting at the seams and yet developers continue to line their pockets and leave us with dangerously thought out estates of large unaffordable houses and dangerous on street parking. We as a village put together a neighbourhood plan, many of us attended multiple meetings and discussed areas we were willing to have developed.

The current SNC plan has been rushed through to include the small field south of Millers Way. This plan was pushed through in July 2020, why was this not openly communicated to us all? This land has always been marked by the village as green space and the gateway to the village from Banbury Lane. SNC have included it within the confines of the village and thus rendered it open to development, this is against all previous objections raised by residents and by the Parish Council and the recommendations made in previous development applications. One child has already been run over on this estate, we can’t let this happen again, we don’t need any more cars in this area.

Our village is bursting at the seams in all corners, our schools and nurseries are oversubscribed, we do not have local amenities such as healthcare and dental facilities and are being dictated to by an organisation that is soon to be dispersed regardless. We as the people have the power to take our control back, this is what makes us a great village, it is the support we can give each other.

If we get enough signatures SNC will have to listen, they did not listen, mention or acknowledge our objections during their committee meeting when they decided for us, let’s make them listen now.
