There has been 5 accidents on Carlisle Road in the last couple of months not to mention the many pervious accidents that have lead to fatalities and serious injury.

Something has to be done on this stretch of road to make it safer for everyone as too many people speed up and down it. The road should be reduced to a 30mph instead of the current 50mph limit and there also needs to be speed cameras, traffic lights, roundabout etc for people to stick to the limit and slow down and proper barriers put in place, it is a dangerous stretch of road that has claimed the life's of many over the years and recently has been getting worse.

Cyclists should also be sticking to the cycle paths that the council spent a fortune making for them and not using the main road ad they do not realise they are a hazard within themselves on such a busy high paced stretch of road with blind corners and hills.
