We encourage the South Kitsap School Board to propose bonds, specifically for the construction of a second high school in South Kitsap, as soon as possible.

South Kitsap High School currently has approximately 2,800 students making it the largest school in the State of Washington.  Students have shared their experiences, making it clear that the current situation of over-crowding is not acceptable. 

Our district has needed an additional high school for decades, and this is not a need that will go away with construction booming in our area.  Portables are not a long term solution, and we need to continue to work towards a permanent solution.  

We are asking the School Board to propose, and our community to approve, construction bonds, NOW!
