The issue

SA governments complete failure to not conduct mandatory testing of workers working in hotels used for quarantined travellers has resulted in total lockdown of businesses. The Marshall government's failure to implement mandatory testing of workers in quarantine hotels after the Victorian quarantine fiasco is beyond comprehension therefore the Marshall government is responsible for loss of income to workers not eligible for job keeper & loss of income for businesses forced into lock down. Due to restricting numbers in hospitality venues in 2020 those venues have not bounced back to pre-covid income, many will not be eligible for job keeper. It is the failure of the Marshall government's management of quarantine hotels, the failure of the Marshall government not implementing mandatory testing of those workers working in hotels where high risk returned travellers are accommodated that has resulted in South Australia being subjected to severe restrictions. The risk to those workers spreading covid from their place of work was demonstrated in Victoria, that risk should have been acknowledged and mitigated by compulsory testing of workers working in hotels accommodating returned travellers. The SA government have failed to do so. This government needs to be accountable for loss of workers wages and loss of income to business. We demand they accept responsibility and reimburse all losses to workers and business. We demand the SA government accept full responsibility for this fiasco and take responsibility for financial losses to workers and businesses affected by the new restrictions.
