South Africans Want Starlink — Not Racial Gatekeeping

South Africans Want Starlink — Not Racial Gatekeeping
The Issue
A petition for honest access, fair competition, merit, and better internet access for ordinary South Africans — without racial gatekeeping.
WHY THIS PETITION MATTERS
South Africans deserve access to reliable modern satellite internet.
Farmers, rural communities, schools, small businesses, security operations, families and people in remote areas could all benefit from better connectivity.
Elon Musk has publicly stated that Starlink was blocked in South Africa because he is not black, and that he refused to take part in what he described as dishonest compliance in order to obtain a licence.
Whatever one may think of Elon Musk personally, the principle matters:
Access to technology, investment, business and opportunity should not depend on race.
THIS IS ABOUT MORE THAN STARLINK
This is about whether race should continue to decide opportunity, access, and progress in South Africa.
It is about whether honest service to ordinary people must give way to political convenience, dishonest fronting, and race-based barriers.
When better internet access is delayed, ordinary South Africans pay the price.
Children in remote areas lose learning opportunities.
Rural communities remain cut off.
Families and small businesses are left with weaker options.
South Africa falls further behind.
WHAT THIS PETITION CALLS FOR
We call for Starlink and similar services to be allowed to operate in South Africa through lawful, honest and fair compliance — without dishonest fronting, political gatekeeping, or racial manipulation.
We call for public benefit, service delivery, innovation and merit to matter more than race-based barriers.
OUR MESSAGE
We support honest access to modern satellite internet.
We support Elon Musk’s refusal to fake compliance.
We believe race should never be used as a gatekeeper to opportunity, ownership, investment, employment, technology, or progress.
By signing this petition, I declare that I support:
Honesty over dishonest compliance.
Merit over racial gatekeeping.
Better internet access for ordinary South Africans.
A future where opportunity is not decided by skin colour.
If you agree, please sign and share this petition.
Stand for fairness. Stand for honest access. Stand against racial gatekeeping.
