It is devastating that animal shelters thoughout our nation are facing closure. The animals have no ability to make these choices.  Funds are running out as we all need to take care of ourselves and our families in this crisis our world and country is facing. This is understandable. We as individuals are all stretching to our limits and beyond currently. Companies are in dire straits and the economy is crumbling. Our entire country is in a massive struggle for survival. I am asking however that we remember that our lives include our pets. 

The puppies and kittens adopted into our families have meaning and are part of our family. Some of the animals were not fortunate enough to have a family, or the one they had abused them, starved them and left them for dead. 

As a nation I urge you to help me speak for these animals. Let us stand up for their rights to live and stay warm and fed through our looming winter. Let them also have the privilege of love and medical care. 

I am pleading with our government to assist with funding to help us keep our animal shelters open and operating. I am one of the many who at this time cannot afford to contribute to saving them.

Mr President, I am begging for your assistance in this matter.  Our shelters need your help.
