Allow Pawn and Second-hand goods stores to trade in lockdown level 4

Allow Pawn and Second-hand goods stores to trade in lockdown level 4
Why this petition matters
While still fully supporting President Ramaphosa's nationwide lockdown to reduce the spread of Covid-19, we here by request the permission to allow trade of pawn shops and second-hand goods stores country wide alongside the easing of restrictions under level 4 lockdown.
Allowing registered second-hand dealers and pawnbrokers who fully comply with the rules and regulations contained within the Second-hand Goods Act and the National Credit Act will not only assist those in much need of extra financial relief, but will allow the public to purchase permitted items at lower costs, providing further relief. Customers who have pawned their belongings prior to the national lockdown will have their minds put at ease by being able to collect their items, this can greatly assist in calming anxiety in a large percentage of the country.
Regular inspections are done by the SAPS in this industry and by this being done will ensure that all sanitation requirements and regulations set out are strictly adhered to.
Please allow this industry to assist all those citizens in need during these challenging times.
