The EDM community is inclusive, loving, and passionate. We are passionate about supporting our favorite artists, discovering new music, and escaping the day-to-day for quality time with our families (biological and otherwise!) and friends - both new and old. 

Unfortunately, in recent years and with the growth of the community, its members have been taken advantage of with unfulfilled promises, lack of respect for health and safety of its members, and even high-stakes fraud (think: Fyre Fest). 

Natural Land Camping and Music Festival's organizers failed on their promise of the product they sold - the experience comprised of artists and their live performances. Only five days before the festival, and with little time to reimagine Labor Day Weekend plans, organizers made it known (via Facebook, not direct email communication...) that some of the most anticipated headliners including Arius, Break Science, Bro Safari, Downlink, EOTO, Must Die! and Sunday nights firework-show headliner - NGHTMRE - "will not be attending this year through no faults of their own." Thus, the fault lies with the organizers. 

Should members of this community expect to pay a food vendor for a hamburger, but only receive buns, and expect to follow "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" fineprint? Certainly not! Business owners trade experiences, services, and goods for our hard-earned dollars and we expect our product in full or a full cash refund. This is basic human respect and basic good business. 

This is a petition to ask SoundFX Presents and other responsible festival organizers to show this community the respect that we show one another and the creators of the funky, groovy, neck-breaking bass music that we love. Allow full cash refund for those who request it and provide a channel for these requests. Any outcome of such refunds is the COMPLETE responsibility of the organizers.
