SOS: FROM WILDFLOWER TO WILDFIRE

The Issue

The constant wildfires in Los Angeles are ravaging neighborhoods, compelling thousands of families to leave their homes, incinerating wildlife habitats, and contaminating the air we inhale. The residents are afflicted with poor air quality, enhanced health hazard, and economic damages through property loss. The firefighters are strained to their limits, putting their lives at risk to control the fire.

If we don't act, only more frequent and devastating fires await. Climate change, drought, and inadequate forest management are bringing about the ultimate wildfire conditions.  Without a quick response, more lives will be lost, more homes will be destroyed, and our ecosystem will continue to be harmed.

We need to act now before it's too late. More robust wildfires prevention policies, more money for emergency services, and better land management policy can help, but only if we urge our leaders to act now. Each day we delay brings us closer to catastrophe.
