There are many games on the Playstation that are there solely to sell you a platinum & in the trophy hunting community, those games get the most attention which take away from everyone else's hard work & achievements they have worked hard to earn. Any leaderboard you look at is plagued with people who played nothing but these games on repeat multiple times just to earn more platinums to get higher & higher numbers. These games last up to an hour or two max & can be platinumed multiple times over different regions & consoles leading to an overwhelming amount of games designed only for getting the platinum.

The fix for these issues is easy, by putting in actually guidelines & requirements for a game to have a platinum, most of these games would no longer have one since the only current guideline is having a certain amount of points in a list, which is easily countered by making all the trophies gold trophies. This would also pave the way for games that don't have platinums to get one instead. A lot of players of these games that I know say they play them for fun & not for the platinum, so making guidelines to make them not have a platinum, or put a little more thought into the game won't affect them according to themselves & those lists will no longer plague the tops of leaderboards anymore.
