Marc Webb had an incredible vision for The Amazing Spider-Man films, but due to Sony and Avi Arad interfering with not only The Amazing Spider-Man films, but also Spider-Man 3, there are still many scenes from all of those movies that have been cut and we are yet to see.  Although both The Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 3 have suffered from studio interference, my main focus is on The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

If Sony had left the movie the way it was, it would have drastically changed the future of Spider-Man and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If the full director's cut of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 had been released, we would've gotten a movie that could compare to some of the greats like Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man Into The Spider Verse, or even The Dark Knight. Even Andrew Garfield himself said that he loved the original script for the movie.

Garfield's Spider-Man has meant so much to me growing up as Webb really fleshed out his story and I related to a lot of the things about Garfield's portrayal of Peter Parker. Because of this, I've watched The Amazing Spider-Man more times than I can count). So I am calling on Sony to give us what we should have gotten in the first place, what we deserved, Marc Webb's original cut for The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
