Referring to actual plans of Sony Pictures Entertainment I spoke to many people, fans of the 2011 Movie "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" starring Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig, and the reactions were frequently the same!

No one can understand WHY Sony dropped their plans for two more sequels, "The Girl Who Played with Fire" and "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest" and INSTEAD are going with the last and newest book "The Girl in the Spider's Web" WITHOUT Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig.

The fact is "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and especially Rooney Mara's performance as Lisbeth Salander was incredibly great and  built an immense fanbase over the past years. The movie itself made a profit of $232.6 million at the Box office and had a cost of $90 million. So some would say it isn't that much profit but it was a good start and there is so much potential for the sequels and the immense fanbase was waiting for years and NOW every hope is destroyed because of Sony’s idea to bring it all back with a lower budget and a different cast! Why?!

Not only did Sony have an All-Star cast but also a great team that created the film, Including Nine Inch Nails masterminds Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, critically acclaimed director David Fincher (Se7en, Fight Club, Gone Girl) and Se7en writer Andrew Kevin Walker.

This petition claims to bring back the original planned sequels WITH the original cast and crew including Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for the soundtrack!!
