Parappa The Rapper 3 is the third installment of the main PaRappa the Rapper series (not including the spinoff, Um Jammer Lammy)  that is currently not being developed. Dred Foxx (The voice actor for PaRappa) is pushing for Parappa the Rapper 3 to be created through his petition. He has also stated in other interviews that he strongly supports the game's creation and is really appreciative of everyone involved with the original series of games.

A rather major issue, according to interviews, is that they are faced with appropriately marketing the franchise in the modern gaming market.

Sony has continued to show interest in the franchise by featuring him in PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale as a playable character. The game also includes Joe Chin, Katy Kat, PJ, and others (with the original voice actors for almost every character) in cutscenes. Sony also tends to feature him in trailers for the PS4 that contain nod-backs to its predecessors as well as franchises from the past.

After many years of awaiting for the third instalment of PaRappa the Rapper to return, the new game as the long-awaiting sequel to the other games will focus on PaRappa who is not alone this time. He's teaming up with his friends to fight for their own futures as to become famous freestyle artists.
