Introduction to Purpose:
As part of the "PS2 for PS4" backwards compatibility initiative on behalf of Sony Playstation, administration has asked for fan input regarding which PS2 titles they'd like to see appear on the new service. 

This petition is essentially a reiteration of a longheld expressed desire by over 10,000 fans to make the Xenosaga trilogy available on next gen platforms.   

History:
About a year ago, Tekken frontman Katsuhiro Harada opened dialogue with fans around the world concerning the potential remastering of the Xenosaga trilogy for next gen gaming consoles.  It took about a month, but myself and other key players came together as a community to garner public buy-in on this project.  After creating petitions, fan-drawn exclusive propaganda art, countless fan groups, and even building a small translation team for disseminating the petition to other global regions, we were able to relay an impacting collective interest to Harada who then ultimately fed it back to Namco Bandai for business planning. 

Unfortunately, fans dispersed without hope once Harada upped the requirements exponentially.  It wasn't that us fans had become disinterested, but rather that it seemed like we hit a brick wall, and the amount of effort being poured into the conversation seemed to be fruitless. 

Request:
Now, with "PS2 on PS4" backwards compatibility being an option, this project has an outlet through which it can become a reality to the more than 10,000 fans who've anticipated it for more than a year.  Not only will putting the Xenosaga trilogy on the roster for this new service fill this immediate and specific niche need for fans of the series, but it will also reintroduce gaming storytelling at its finest to the upcoming generation of gamers who may have never experienced such a wide-scoped narrative. 

The backing is already there. With the PS4 leading the pack in terms of raw consumer base, and with fans already working so hard - in unison - to support this project, I think the corporate impact on financials already justifies the involved costs, even when being conservative with the marketing numbers. 

Please consider this request to add this amazing classic trilogy to the "PS2 on PS4" service!
