Operation "Teenage Dirtbag" by One Direction

Operation "Teenage Dirtbag" by One Direction
The Issue
What do we want? One Direction's cover of "Teenage Dirtbag"!
When do we want it? Now!
The world premiere of One Direction’s documentary concert film, One Direction: This is Us, was held in Leicester Square in London on August 30, 2013, which also marked the international release of the film. This project consisted of an intimate look into the creation and happenings of One Direction with concert footage from their second headlining concert tour, Take Me Home Tour, at the O2 Arena in London.
During their concert at London’s O2 Arena, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson, the five members of the band, performed a cover of the popular Wheatus song “Teenage Dirtbag”. Fans across the world, myself included, longed for an official release of the audio recording of this performance, but it never came.
In failing to take advantage of this release, fans took it upon themselves to post unofficial recordings of the performance on websites like Soundcloud and Youtube. By releasing an official audio recording of One Direction’s cover of “Teenage Dirtbag” from their O2 performance, Sony Music Entertainment will play a part in stopping the illegal distribution of this music while also creating the rightful profit for themselves, the creator of the original song, and the performers.
I’m petitioning Sony Music Entertainment to obtain the rights to the audio recording of One Direction’s cover of “Teenage Dirtbag” from the movie One Direction: This is Us, distributed by TriStar Pictures, a member of the Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group, and release it as a new single.
Here are the websites I used to gather this information: One Direction: Take Me Home Tour and "Teenage Dirtbag" by Wheatus.
If you're curious to hear their cover, here's a Youtube video of their performance.
