In March of 2020, we got the very exciting announcement that Thomas and the Magic Railroad is going to be released on Blu-Ray as a Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Set from Shout! Factory and under license by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Thomas the Tank Engine's very first theatrical movie.

It was originally going to be released on June 9th of this year, but it got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and before when the original Director's Cut got leaked online.

On June 25th, a new release date has been announced: September 29th, 2020!

I also have a theory: When I read the information saying "under license by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment", my theory is that Sony Pictures Home Entertainment could possibly distribute the Blu-Ray of Thomas and the Magic Railroad worldwide for Australia, the United Kingdom and other countries and I hope my theory could come true because Sony Pictures owns the movie.
