Sonja Floyd Keith and all teachers Deserve Due Process contracts

The Issue

Georgia Public schools should be held accountable in all educator contracts that impact their lives. If teachers are not explicitly afforded this, their will continue to be a teacher shortage. The time is now and school districts in Georgia should not be allowed to forgo this requirement.

In my case, Floyd Keith v Dekalb County School District,it didn't happen. Although this case isn't explicitly about this sole point, it's important because efforts were not made to provide due process or provide work accommodations. This includes exploring work accommodations in the iterative process. It's so messy. Teachers are already underpaid and the extra money only goes to classroom supplies to make the classroom a positive environment for the children. I'm a level 5 educator which means that I hold a master's degree. With my experience,it wasn't enough for me and one child. I've spent well over $500 on materials to decorate the classroom. School Districts don't provide that. They only give a book from places like Staples to order pens, paper and markers. Teachers have to purchase tables, chairs, cushions, book shelves, pictures as well as a whole lot more. I pray that you see my point in pushing for more accountability. I was mistreated by my school district and not afforded due process. I never ever Resigned from my position. Dekalb County School District requested me to resign in Workers Comp negotiation and still didn't give a contract release. I have not submitted a statement May 2019 at all and it was never accepted or voted on by the entire board. They're illegally alleging that I somehow volunteered to resign! Such baloney! Where's the statement? There isn't one and I deserve reinstatement! I will not sleep with the principal as a condition of my contract.Oh wait, now they've admitted administrators are my peers! Again, clearly I was not given a Level 5 temporary administrator certification.  While teaching 5 classes and constantly being pulled out for administrative tasks. Where's my money for that? I pray that you see the hypocrisy and blatant lies!

So, legislative input, and policies should monitor as well as punish school districts that fail to follow this requirement. Accreditation authorities should pull districts accreditation for failing to follow state laws.  Act now, to preserve professional acumen for me and all teachers.

Again, I deserve due process and an 1160 hearing. Sign this petition because a monopoly and Mafia school district should not be above the law. The state superintendent legal office said they need to hold a due process hearing. Why does Dekalb County School District get a pass and not follow Georgia law? If you're a Georgia teacher, you should be concerned. If you're teaching in other states that have due process, tenure rights and contracts, you should be concerned. All occupations should be concerned and push back against this Beauracratic conspiracy against me.
