For many kids growing up in the 2000s, video games were a great thing to have, building memories playing games whether it be with friends, family or themselves. Certain games made peoples childhoods, and many people still look back on a game they played years ago and smile at the fun memories and impact the game had on their lives. For some people, Sonic Riders was that game. Originally released on the Gamecube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox, the first Sonic Riders was the first Sonic game for a lot of kids, and maybe even the first game they had. This game, featuring beloved iconic characters from the mainline games in the franchise as well as some new Rivals in levels themed around hoverboard racing, is ingrained in the minds of those who played it even to this day.

Although not every Sonic fan has played these games, some possibly not even knowing about their existence, the fanbase for the Riders games still has a healthy following. There are many people who have been wanting ports of these games, or even remakes, yet no news and barely any acknowledgement has led many of these dedicated fans to believe that the Riders games will be forgotten. This petition aims to make a change, the goal is to encourage SEGA to make a Remastered Collection of the three previously released Sonic Riders Games, that being:
-Sonic Riders (Released on GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox in 2006)
-Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity (Released on PlayStation 2 and Wii in 2008)
-Sonic Free Riders (Released on Xbox 360 in 2010)

Having a Remastered Trilogy for these games would not only satisfy longtime fans of the Riders side of the franchise, but also introduce it both to Sonic fans who haven't played it before and a whole new generation of gamers on the newer platforms. With the Remastered Release of the fan favorite game Sonic Colors having come out, as well as the Sonic Origins collection featuring remasters of the Classic Sonic titles, it seems only fair that the Riders games get the treatment they've long deserved for fans. If you are a Sonic Riders fan looking for a revitalizing of the franchise, or a Sonic fan interested in trying the games out for the first time, then I urge you to sign this petition so our voices may be heard.
