Something has to change with IHOP

The Issue

It has recently come to my attention that the INTERNATIONAL House of Pancakes or IHOP only serves in about 12 different areas.

To me using 'International' in their name is a flagrant misuse of the word and frankly misleading. Whilst technically you could say that they have the right to use this word, a more apt description would be multinational as they are mostly still based in America.

I myself am based in the UK and not only do we not have an IHOP, when we try to access the IHOP website, we are greeted with an error page stating "The owner of this website (www.ihop.com has banned the country or region your IP address is in (GB) from accessing this website". I only know of this happening in the UK but who knows how many other countries are getting their access denied

The solution to this is simple and can be sorted in one of two ways:

  1. Live up to your name and expand the reach of your business earning the right to call yourself International.
  2. Change the name of your brand because as it stands, the company doesn't deserve it.

We can't let big Companies like this mislead us and restrict us from services and information that we (as humans) deserve. It's time we fought back against this oppression and stop this cycle.

They rely on 'Diffusion of Responsibility' and regular, everyday, normal people feeling like they can't make a difference when we can.

It all starts here...
