Ginger Clemont started this petition to South Somerset District Council (Council)

For years,  Mr Michael Legg has hoarded away doors, window etc with the collection increasing year upon year. I am concerned from a humanitarian, welfare and medical viewpoint about the unsafe living conditions which Mr Legg has created for himself. It poses a health and safety risk to Mr Legg and his neighbors and needs to be removed. The County Council refused to remove the hoard on grounds that he is a hoarder despite advertising himself as a 'store' and not to mention it is a huge health and safety hazard. Needless to say, he hardly sells anything, often refuses items being sold and the collection grows. It is a sign of gross negligence by the county council to not do anything about the hoard. Aesthetically an eye sore for the village but most importantly, a huge health and safety risk. This is putting individuals' lives at risk. With Mr Legg's age, there are concerns if there was a medical emergency at the property, the hoard causes an obstruction. Not to mention the fire risk it poses to Mr Legg and his neighbours. The hoard needs to go for everyone's safety.

It has been advertised alot in the press, see the photos for yourself.
