The DCGA cabinet of the Solomon Islands has made a decision to ban Facebook amidst claims of 'controversial' and 'unsafe' usage of the platform in the country.

As we all know, those are small problems compared to bigger issues DCGA should focus on.

Businesses rely on Facebook for business. Individuals sell things on Facebook. Healthy discussions happened on it. Families use Facebook to keep in touch. With COVID 19, livestreams are happening on the platform.

Facebook is the an online platform that most online users in the country are well-versed with. It is the go-to social media platform in the country.

Of course a handful of use cases are not good, but it should not warrant Facebook to be totally banned.

This petition seeks to ganner support to ask the DCGA cabinet to reverse their decision as the supporters of this pledge has seen it as yet again, one of the unpopular decision DCGA has made.

Facebook, or any social media platform for that matter should never be banned -- social media has more better use cases than the bad ones.
