A report is before the Cabinet Member for Stronger and Safer Communities on Tuesday 24 September to reduce the opening hours of Dickens Heath Library. Proposed changes will mean it being closed an additional day on a Tuesday and Saturday afternoon. 

This is despite the parish council moving into the premises earlier this year, with the purpose of not only safeguarding the library but with the intention of actually lengthening it’s opening hours.

We, the below names, petition Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council to retain the existing operating hours and work with the parish council to open the library for linger periods.
