The Issue

To Jason Beckmann, Movement LIC Gym Director:

As climbers and organizers forged within social movements founded upon protecting life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and with respect for human rights of all people to live in safety and free from terrorism and lies, we write to you in total solidarity with Movement LIC management in their decision to not allow Climbers for Palestine to host or co-host events at the facility. 

We are profoundly thankful for your recent decision to reject Climbers for Palestine's partnership with Latino Outdoors and request that you continue to stand firm in the face of any pressure. Your position is right, and keeps Movement facility free of organizations that are insulting to other gym members and guests.

Climbers for Palestine's online presence traffics in very obvious jew hate and it has no place in Movement facilities. 

As one of the largest climbing spaces in this city, hosting and welcoming members and guests is a critical responsibility we collectively share. When our facility admits entry to a group you have to rightly make sure that the group meets the standards of our community.

We, the climbers, organizers, and workers in this community, respectfully request that Movement continues to commit to banning Climbers for Palestine and ANY group that spews hate and misinformation.
