Social Justice For LGBTQIA+

The Issue

The term "LGBTQIA+" refers to individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, or asexual. The plus sign denotes inclusion of individuals who hold uncertain gender, sex, and romantic identities.

The LGBTQIA+ community in the Philippines deals with prejudice on a nearly daily basis. They are prohibited from seeking employment, going to school, and receiving medical treatment. Although there is nothing wrong with the sexual orientation or gender, they are being attacked. This generation should be aware of the situation and the harm done to the LGBTQIA+ communities by this injustice. They ought to receive the same treatment, opportunities, and rights.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people will be able to live forthrightly without facing discrimination and will have access to equal rights, personal liberty, freedom of expression, and relationship. We do this in order for the government to take action against the discrimination faced by LGBTQIA+ community.
