Thank you again for your support, and please continue getting more signatures. Because the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare has not yet listened to the 8000 of you who have signed this petition, we decided to find out if they would listen to psychiatrists.  So we handed them a letter signed by 31 psychiatrists from around the world, including Harvard and Columbia Universities in the US.  The letter calls for an independent, international enquiry into Japan’s use of mechanical restraints in psychiatric hospitals.
