
Thank you again for supporting this cause. Hasegawa-sensei visited New Zealand with several support people from October 8-13 to meet with mental health professionals, including Kelly’s psychiatrist. His objective was to find out how the New Zealand system compares to the Japanese system and to learn how New Zealanders managed to reduce the usage of seclusion and restraint in psychiatric facilities. Film-maker Michael Goldberg, pictured below at Kelly’s grave, came along to document the trip and to meet Kelly’s New Zealand friends and family. He hopes to include some of his footage in a documentary.
