      In this New Year, I’d like to thank you again for your support for our petition, and update you on recent activity.

      In December 2018, Hasegawa-sensei was keynote speaker at a seminar for Japanese mental health professionals.  He spoke about restraints and showed a ten-minute video that Michael Goldberg made while visiting Te Pou.  This New Zealand organisation was set up to improve the workforce performance of mental health, addiction and disability services in New Zealand.  You can watch the video at the link provided.  It provides an informative perspective on how New Zealand has been able to improve its mental health care:
