Back in the old days whenever I had just gotten Snapchat, there were a lot of things I was excited to do. There was one thing that really caught my eye, that was different from the rest of the features, something life changing. The trophies. I wanted to get all of them more than anything. It was like a fun mini-game within the app, and you get rewards from completing simple! What could be more fun than that? In other words, getting rid of them did more harm than good. Sure there were people that put no real effort into collecting them, and there were some that didn’t even bother sparing a glance at the trophies. But then there were also a lot of dedicated snap-chatters that did care about the trophies. That did put their phone in the freezer to collect the below freezing trophy. So why take them away? They weren’t making Snapchat lose any money. I mean, they weren’t making them gain any either, but who cares when we’re having fun! My peers and I all agree that the trophies were a key part to our Snapchat childhood. Not only did they take away our trophies, but they took away a piece of our heart, too.  And with that I say thank you, and goodnight.
