Not a positive app for our children to be involved in this generation struggles enough with trying to be a kid. On a daily basis a competition and ratings game is played to see how high you are rated but your fellow friends and followers which plays a part of their daily lives to know if they are accepted or not based on rates and comments adding to the daily life of trying to be a kid and attend school! Low ratings lead to depression and even suicide. Snapchat promotes ratings, every friend of follower is hidden parents cannot even access who their children are friend s with very dangerous! 2 recent news articles one resulting in a brutal attack which led to murder 80 children stood and watched and posted it on snap chat. No regulations to postings taken our children lives over post of usage of illegal drugs and nudity! Messaging is done through snap no longer texts because it erases and no history of the context! An addiction failing in school due to no concentration on snapchat all day to view or post! Another news report an 11 year old child steals parents car to meet a man from snapchat 200 miles away. Dangerous encounters through Snapchat! Please sign my petition to ban snapchat! Private stories are also added in addition to children profiles which will include inapporiate behaviors which include nudity, gang behavior, guns and violence, usage of illegal drugs which should be banned but are not so children requests people to follow or be added to their private stories. This is a daily encounter of an emotional rollercoaster for our kids! Petitions have been created before to end snap chat without enough signatures please do not blind eye this petition this generation is failing and we are losing our children to an app addiction it is at the least! Innocent lives are being broadcasted on snapchat as a joke whether a murder or fight occurred this is sickening and it is being promoted through snap. The comment response for these kids "Lets put it on The Snap".   Kids cannot cope with life without snapchat or streaks. Activities such as sports, television, games, homework are all obselete now there isn't even concentration in schools or classrooms and no one enforces any different. They hardly have relationships with family members, friends, teachers etc because they live on the media of snapchat every second! How many friends you have is a competition or if you have became a subscription how is this relevant? My own expierence she has voiced to me before she just adds people to add them to have a bigger count she doesn't even know who they are how is this safe? You can say anything about a child's judge of character and how they should act or behave but how can they when they live in a constant world of battle for rates and numbers and competition. What is the allowance of private stories available for? Snapchat promotes your image is important allowing ratings game. Many children have died or been brutally attacked and the children or familys of such incident have to live with the occurrence and the broadcast of others on snapchat.The addition of streaks has severely impacted our daughter, and short of banning her from Snapchat all together (impossible, she'll just use her friends' phones), something needs to happen. I feel this streak thing is terribly addictive for young minds .This feature is designed purely to cause social media addiction in kids and teenagers who aren't emotionally mature enough to handle or resist it. It's dangerous exploitation and manipulation and it should be removed immediately. It is highly addictive, causing anxiety, stress ,and used as a bullying tactic. It is very worrying just how many teenagers are now on antidepressants, the combination of social media and extreme pressure by schools. Enough is enough I'm so tired of snapchat and affect and destruction it is causing it is long overdue for banning Snapchat!!!!!! These are unacceptable behaviors and allowances on behalf of snapchat and a change needs to be proposed. The change will promote more one on one relations with family members and peers. More  interaction and focus on school and involvement in enjoying being a kid! It will change our children mind set on acceptance and being their self and enjoying their likes and dislikes. It will give peace to families not having to see a broadcast of horrible incidents they already have to live with for life like losing a child.
