Kevin Nelson is leaving Burlingame High School because of conflict with the administration. This is devastating for the students at Burlingame High. Mr. Nelson is an excellent teacher, innovative administrator, and mentor to hundreds of past and present students. He has taught so many of us AP Economics, Government and History, built the Gate program, and mentored so many students over the years.

He spoke up for us. Let us use what he has taught us to speak up for him.

We, the past and present students of Burlingame High, and families in the Burlingame community request the Superintendent, Dr. Skelly  (kskelly@smuhsd.org, Tel 6505582200) and the School Board (President Robert Griffin, rgriffin@smuhsd.org) to investigate the problems at BHS that are leading to the loss of our best teachers, and damaging education and culture at BHS.

We ask that you keep Mr. Nelson at Burlingame High School.  If not, the school loses an incredible teacher with years of experience at BHS and college, and an amazing human being who makes this a great institution.
