Sunday 3-12-2017 8:15 p.m. Eastern Time Greetings Panda Lovers! We are now over 1,500 people from around the world who want to put a stop to this separation between Bei Bei and his mother Mei Xiang. Today I spoke on the phone to the Humane Rescue Alliance (formerly the Washington Humane Society & the Washington Animal Rescue League). I alerted them to this video (please see above) that was taken on 3-1-2017. It shows Bei Bei being zapped by hot electrical wires. He is climbing the walls & gets zapped because he is looking for his Mummy. The very last bit of the video shows Mei Xiang trying to get to Bei Bei. I was also just made aware of another video, taken just today. This video shows Mei Xiang in a languished state. She ignores a fruitie on the floor right next to her. We all know how much Mei Xiang loves to eat & how much she loves her fruities. This video speaks volumes as to how depressed this panda is. Shortly after he climbed up the tree and honked there." It is unacceptable that The National Zoo will stand by & let its precious pandas suffer like this. We will not stand for this.
