Make Smith and Wesson make a scandium K-frame .357

Make Smith and Wesson make a scandium K-frame .357
The Issue
Throughout the 20th century Smith and Wesson produced over 6 million K frames. the most popular of these was the Model 10 a Steel framed 6 shot K-Frame chambered in 38 special. In the early 50s Smith and Wesson Consulted with Bill Jordan to make the "Peace officers dream" handgun; a K-Frame in 357 magnum, which was made and sold as the model 19. Smith and Wesson then made the 19 in stainless steel, reducing the weight of the revolver while maintaining its durability.
In 2000 Smith and Wesson started to offer revolvers made of Scandium alloy starting with the model 340PD a scandium alloy J-Frame in 357 magnum. The Scandium alloy massively reduces the weight of the revolver making it easier to carry. since the introduction of the 340PD Smith and Wesson has introduced other scandium frame revolvers including the 360 J-frame in 357 magnum, 315 K-Frame in 38 special, 386 L-frame in 357 magnum, the 327 N-Frame in 357 magnum, The 329 N-Frame in 44 Magnum, the 357 an N-frame in 41 Magnum and the GOVERNOR Z-frame in 410 2-1/2 45acp and 45colt. While most of these remain available and in production by Smith and Wesson there has never been a Scandium alloy K-frame in 357 magnum.
In recent years other revolver manufactures have started to offer lightweight small 6-shot revolvers, most notably Kimber and Colt. We are asking that Smith and Wesson compete in the market and make a 319PD.
