Support the removal of "Asian Fit" description of glasses from eyewear brands & companies

The Issue

For some time, eyewear companies have used the descriptor "Asian Fit" for their glasses - which is meant to describe glasses with lower bridges or if they have wider nose pads.

This type of language and rhetoric is harmful and perpetuates divisiveness. Singling out a race to describe a product (not the race of a human) does not makes sense nor is it needed, similar to describing a virus. Having this type of language surround us on store windows, the internet in search results, on brands' and retailers' websites, marketing collateral, and more only inherently and subconsciously adds to the problem and notion that there is something "different" -- furthering and reinforcing the discord in our nation today (evidently seen against the Asian community during this past year -- although not new.)

Sign this petition in support of the removal of "Asian Fit" as descriptions for the eyewear industry -- across brands, retailers (including Amazon) and most of all, Google. They can easily be replaced with the words and adjectives such as "low bridge glasses" which still describe what the glasses do and how they are shaped and can be fitted and formed to a face. Corporate America and business leaders with authority should have the responsibility to enact and enforce regulations to ensure their products are not described in this way at the retailers where they are sold at.

A quick Google search results in tons of glasses with "Asian Fit" as part of the main  product title and within the "Shopping Tab"

Sharing a couple of retailers and brands below that I have found using, I am sure there are more - feel free to share in comments. I do want to call out and applaud Warby Parker and Glasses USA for NOT using this term (did a search all over their site and it's nowhere to be found)

PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE! THANK YOU!!
