DSST Students should have finals

The Issue

DSST Students should have finals because finals are so fun and enjoyable. The tests are usually extremely easy, so easy in fact that my friends and I play games on our calculators during the tests. When we do use our calculators correctly, it is in the context of test games including how many calculator questions can I answer without a calculator and how many words do I actually need to read in the question and text to answer. Even if the test is hard, the absolutely massive DSST curves bail out everyone even if you do horribly on the test. And the best part is that this helps low-performing students too! Low-performing students by definition have lower grades for one reason or another, so by normal DSST curves, getting a 65 % on a final can be curved up to 80%! This means that even by failing the test, students get a high percentage in an impactful category that will bring their grades up, especially if their normal grades are below the curved final. Also, finals make it so that teachers practically do nothing but review for a week prior, which means extremely easy homework and classwork for the entire two weeks. During finals week, there is no homework and school is only 5 hours! At the cost of an easy, heavily curved test, students have easy review classwork and homework for two weeks, and none on finals week. Due to these reasons, DSST must have finals.
