We have along with many others been inappropriately targeted and told to close our doors again. We like many others willingly shut down at the emergence of Covid-19. We understand and are angry that many haven't followed or taken seriously the recommendations of the CDC and state health officials. When we got the opportunity to reopen we were over joyed and extremely prepared to take on this challenge. We care about our patrons and our employees. Like many small businesses in this country we cannot withstand the financial pressure of closing again. We are petitioning today to request that those businesses, meaning bars that are fervently complying with CDC regulations and taking stopping the spread of this pandemic seriously, be allowed to remain open and we are willing to be subject to habitual evaluations to make ensure continued compliance. We are confident that we have been and will continue to be compliant with every request and requirement placed upon us. Moving forward we must have the opportunity to be evaluated and considered for reopening along with anyone following the same standards. Small independent businesses cannot handle this nor can our economy sustain this. I implore you to heavily consider our request.
