In the past month, multiple exit signs on Grand Hall floor 7 have been punched out, and people's door scanners have been ripped out of the walls. Unfortunately, there are a select few individuals on the floor that have a known history of getting drunk, punching out ceiling tiles, and running down halls. 

Disappointingly, Grand Hall Housing coordinator Yonshalae Powell reacted in an inappropriate manner, and she threatened to charge everyone on the floor if nobody came foreword. This barbaric and backwards method of group punishment proved ineffective and destructive to the community environment on Grand 7. Within hours, self appointed "task groups" went from door to door, inspecting damage, and pestered people with questions. The situation further spiraled in the floor groupchat, where several serious accusations were made, and people began to use slurs and other coarse language.

This is all in direct response to Yonshalae's poor handling of the situation. Rather than conduct interviews, hold a floor meeting, or allow for greater time for the culprits to come forward, she has initiated this chaos. Please sign this petition and tell Yonshalae: you can still fix this! Do not charge the entire floor for the actions of a few individuals too cowardly to come forward, and please conduct community healing.
