My name is Georgia and I’m 9  years old. I live on Molesey Road in Hersham, Surrey. 

Molesey Road is a very busy road where cars, lorries, motorbikes and other vehicles speed up and down throughout the day and night.

I have to cross the road to get to school with my parents, my 3 year old brother and my dog but there is nowhere safe to cross. I am concerned for the safety of myself, my family, friends, members of my community and dogs.

Within half a mile of Molesey Road there are 5 schools, 2 nurseries a church and a train station but nowhere safe for anybody to cross. 

There are crossing points but these are not safe as drivers do not slow down and there are trees that block the views of pedestrians.

I often find myself stuck in the middle of the road with my family which makes me feel unsafe and worried.

I have seen several accidents on the road, my grandad and my neighbour have had their cars crashed into by speeding drivers and their cars could not be repaired.

I have just gone back to school after the summer holidays and feel that something needs to be done to keep everybody safe.

Please sign my petition to show support for my cause to slow down the traffic and provide a safe place for pedestrians to cross.
